Let's try this one again.  After a few years of great December racing, we hit 2 consecutive years of snow and ice - which prevented us from running.  We are banking on the weather being much better for a winter race, and we are in for it.   Plus, Fleet Feet has again generously chosen us as a charity, and each time a registrant chooses Team RunFree, we receive $10 of the registration !!

Each Captain and Navigator will receive a lightweight Santa suit - complete with beard and hat.  :)  It is a fun 5K, and it's pretty neat seeing over 600 Santa Clauses running the streets of downtown Des Moines.  Yes, this is a December race - but barring extreme conditions, it is a great day to bundle up and enjoy a fun Christmas run.
